Garrett Computer Chip for Corrado G60
Car: 1990 Corrado G60 Cost:$125 from GIAC Impressions: I had heard that the Garrett chip was the way to go, especially for
4 cylinders and now I'm a believer! Previously I had installed a Neuspeed
chip which I felt didn't do very much for me so I was skeptical about
plunking down $125 for another chip. Once I got the chip in, I was
pleasantly surprised, I could feel more power coming on at around 2500
rpm and the top end is much stronger. I had always been a little disappointed
with both the low and top end and this chip 'fixes' both. As an added
bonus I have been noticing an increase in gas mileage, about 2 extra
miles per gallon. In terms of modifications, this would have to be
one of the best and easiest. I takes me anywhere from 20-40 minutes
to remove the ECU, swap chips and put it back in and for the dramatic
increase in HP, it's well worth it. Note: You will need to know which computer you have in your car. On the label on top of your computer, you should see a set of numbers with two letters at the end of it. Mine is an "EA" but there are other possibilities. You need these letters to get the right chip for your car. Brian Binder |
